Crucial to the success of the NEXUS Center is the fast track Design-Build delivery method, an expedited manner of integrating the architectural and construction teams to complete the building in approximately 12 months. The Design-Builder of the NEXUS Center is Hueber-Breuer Construction. Based in Syracuse, Hueber-Breuer is now in its sixth generation of family leadership, approaching 150 years of delivering quality construction projects in Central New York. Key partners anchoring the design and construction of the NEXUS Center include VIP Architectural Associates, Perkins & Will Architects, IPD Engineering and VIP Structures.

 

Some of Hueber-Breuer’s recent successes in the Mohawk Valley and Oneida County include the APEX Surgery Center in Westmoreland and the historic Doyle Hardware building, where HB served as both the developer and builder. Hueber-Breuer has also recently been involved in some of the most notable design-build projects in the region, including the new EXPO Center at the New York State Fairgrounds as well as the new Hilltop student residence at the SUNY Poly Campus.
